Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A severely mutilated body of a middle-aged man was discovered in Bidupur, Vaishali district, under suspicious circumstances. The body, identified as Manoranjan Singh, was found in a closed room behind Bidupur Ram Janaki Thakurwadi, in the jurisdiction of Bidupur police station. Both eyes of the victim had been gouged out and both ears were severed. The discovery was made after local residents raised concerns about Singh’s absence over the past three days.
Singh, who was disabled and had difficulty walking, lived alone at his sister’s house in Bidupur. His sister and brother-in-law reside in another state. When Singh did not respond to calls or emerge from the house for several days, neighbors grew suspicious and alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, the police found the body in a mutilated state. Singh was identified as the son of Abhay Singh, a resident of Karanauti Bakhtiyarpur village in Patna district.
After receiving the report, Bidupur police initiated an investigation into the case. The body has been sent for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death. The police have secured the area where the body was found and are gathering forensic evidence. As part of the investigation, the police are attempting to establish the timeline of events leading up to Singh’s death and are looking into the possibility of foul play.
The authorities have informed Singh’s family about the incident, and they have since arrived at the scene. The police are working to determine if Singh’s disability played a role in the incident and whether there was any prior conflict that may have led to the attack. Further details about the investigation are not being disclosed at this stage, but the police are focused on uncovering the motive behind this gruesome crime.
